Kris Dreemurr is a human Lightner and the main protagonist of Deltarune.
They are presumably the human Hero of Light in the Prophecy. In a Dark World,
they function as the party's leader.
Kris is controlled by the player for the majority of the game.
The few exceptions are brief cutscenes, or when they tear the SOUL out of their body.
Kris excels at ACTing in battles, and wields a sword that can transform into a
shield when DEFENDing.
Susie is a Lightner from Hometown and one of the deuteragonists of Deltarune.
She is presumably the monster Hero of Light of the Legend of Delta Rune.
She wields an axe while in a Dark World. With her high HP and Attack,
she plays the role of the party's tank and bruiser during encounters.
Lancer is a Darkner child from Card Kingdom.
He is one of the main characters in Deltarune.
In Chapter 1, he initially serves as the secondary
antagonist, attempting to destroy the party before
they can reach the Eastern Fountain and seal it,
but he ultimately befriends the party and joins them.
In Chapter 2, he enters the party's inventory,
allowing him to visit the Cyber World with them
Ralsei is a Darkner and one of the deuteragonists (along with Susie)
of Deltarune. He claims to be the "Prince from the Dark" mentioned in
the Prophecy.
Having weaker attack and less max health, and with the ability to cast
healing spells, Ralsei acts as the party's healer. He wields a scarf
in combat.
King, also known as Chaos King, is a Darkner from the Card Kingdom.
He is the main antagonist and final boss of Chapter 1 in Deltarune.
He is the father of Lancer, and one of the four kings of the Card Kingdom.
His goal is to serve the Knight by protecting the Eastern Fountain and
invading the world with darkness, thus making the Darkners the rulers of it.
After his defeat at the end of Chapter 1, he is imprisoned in Castle Town's dungeon.
Jevil is a Darkner from Card Kingdom. He is Chapter 1's bonus boss,
and thus a holder of a Shadow Crystal.
Jevil is described as mad since he met a "strange someone."
Prior to losing his mind, he was a jester with a presumed humorous
attitude and a friend of Seam.
Jevil, like other Card Kingdom denizens, is implied to be a playing
card. Specifically, he is implied to be the Joker, as he was the court
jester. This is also evidenced by how he claims that he can do anything,
as the Joker's most frequent use is a wild card.
C. Round is a Darkner from the Card Kingdom. C. Round is a
harmless enemy encountered after Susiejoins the party, but
Susie insists on using violence against it.
It becomes crowned at the end of Great Board, transforming
into the recurring mini-boss K. Round.
Rouxls Kaard (pronounced "rules card") is a Darkner from the
Card Kingdom. He proclaims himself the "Duke of Puzzles" and is a
servant of Kingin Chapter 1.
In Chapter 1, he challenges the party multiple times throughout
Card Castle to complete his puzzles, but they are trivially easy.
In Chapter 2, he enters the party's inventory and is taken to the
Cyber World. In the Cyber World, he attempts to work for Queen and
challenges the party to battle in Queen's Mansion, as a mini boss.
Malius is a Darkner smith from the Card Kingdom. They are adept at fixing things.
In Chapter 1, they can be found in the Bake Sale area of the Dark World.
In Chapter 2, they reside in Castle Town's Bakery.
Noelle Holiday is a Lightner from Hometown. Noelle is one
of Kris's classmates, as well as their neighbor and childhood friend.
She plays a minor role in Chapter 1, but becomes a
major character in Chapter 2, where she temporarily
joins the party during Cyber City, wielding a ring.
Noelle lives on the northwest side of Hometown with
her mother, the Mayor, and her father, Rudy, who is
currently in the hospital with an unnamed illness.
Berdly is a Lightner from Hometown. Berdly is the self-proclaimed
"Number 1" student in School, Kris's classmate in Alphys's class,
and Noelle's study partner.
He plays a minor role in Chapter 1, but becomes a major character
in Chapter 2. In Chapter 2, he initially appears as the secondary
antagonist who is allied with Queen, but ultimately becomes an ally.
Queen, full name Serial Number Q5U4EX7YY2E9N, is a
Darkner who rules Cyber World. She is the main
antagonist and final boss of Chapter 2 in Deltarune.
At the end of Chapter 2, she uses her GIGA Queenmecha to
fight the party, with this mecha serving as the Chapter 2
final boss on a normal route.
At the end of Chapter 2, Ralsei reveales mroe information about
the "Roaring", to witch queen admits she just wanted to make Noelle
heppy and never intended to cause such an event.
Spamton, full name Spamton G. Spamton, is a Darkner from the
Cyber World. He is initially encountered in Cyber City, where
he is fought as a miniboss. He is likely based on spam emails
and adverts.
After his battle, he appears as a shopkeeper in the Trash Zone.
His shop is unusual in that his items are not what they appear,
and their prices fluctuate rapidly while looking at them. He is
also the only shopkeeper that the party cannot sell items to,
with the "SELL" option being replaced with "BUYMORE!!"
If Kris helps him enter the Queen's Mansion's basement (either through the LoadedDisk or freezing Berdly), he transforms into Spamton NEO, which serves as Chapter 2's bonus boss on a normal route and the main antagonist and final boss of the Chapter 2 Snowgrave Route. As a bonus boss, he holds one of the Shadow Crystals.
THE WEATHER ALWAYS STICKS TOGETHER!
"Sun" type weatherman.
In Spamton's Text he refers to charcters known as both "Mike" and "Tenna". because the main villan of chapter 3 is known to be a TV, it is believed either "Mike" or "Tenna" are the main Chapter 3 Villan.

Alphys is a returning character from Undertale. In Deltarune, she is the teacher of Kris's class in Hometown's School.
Asgore Dreemurr is a minor NPC in Deltarune, and a returning character from Undertale. He lives alone in the flower shop "Flower King" in Hometown, and is Kris and Asriel's father.
If Kris stands on the circular brown patch next to the lake east of the Royal Guards for long enough, a yellow, onion-shaped monster resembling Undertale's Onionsan surfaces to converse with them. Onion claims that they have no friends, and they then ask Kris to be their friend. Onion appears to have forgotten their own name, due to nobody talking to them, and requests Kris to give them a new name. Naming them Onion, Beauty, or Asriel II results in the misremembered names Umyum, Bootis, and Cereal, respectively. After talking with them, Onion asks Kris to come back tomorrow, as they have something "[they] can only tell a friend" and then dives back into the water, their face noticeably shadowed.
Rudolph "Rudy" Holiday is a secondary character in Deltarune. He is the bedridden father of Noelle who can be visited at the end of Chapter 1 and 2, in Hometown
Sans is a recurring character in Deltarune and a returning character from Undertale.
Sans runs a self-titled grocery store in Hometown as the
"janitor" (despite there being no-one else working there).
Sans's dialogues are written in lowercase and
use the Comic Sans font, hence his name.
While he alludes to his brother Papurys, we have yet to see
or meet him in the game.
Toriel is a recurring NPC in Chapter 1 and 2 of Deltarune, and a returning character from Undertale. She is the mother of Kris and Asriel, the latter of whom is off at university. She lives with them in a neatly kept house at the northern end of Hometown
Undyne, a returning character from Undertale, is a secondary character in Deltarune. She is the Chief of Police for Hometown.
Though Napstablook, a ghost first seen in Undertale,
does not directly appear in Chapter 1, their ghost-shaped
house appears and they are implied to be the person inside
the Police Station who reacts to a knock at the door by closing
the blinds and is "not feeling it right now." There is a book in
the Library that is actually a journal that was accidentally checked
in, implied by the entries to be theirs. Unlike in Undertale, the
inhabitant of the ghost house has two roommates, one known as "Nobody."
Napstablook makes a physical appearance at the end
of Chapter 2, being Undyne's colleague at the police
station. They became a police officer by accident, but
they're unable to quit due to their cousins relying on
them.
